Barrel
A barrel vault is a continuous arched structure that resembles the roof of a tunnel and a semi-cylinder in shape. Barrel vaults are single curvature shell constructed and simplest form of vaults having a series of arches connected side by side that is one after another.
There are two types of barrel vaults:
- Long Span Barrel: Span over 60m
- Short Span Barrel: Span less than 60m
